Throughout my work, I have often had clients tell me that previous therapy sessions with traditional approaches have felt more like a place to talk than a place to grow. Therapist are taught to have expert listening skills and an empathetic approach to those we serve. And while these are powerful tools that we frequently need, I find that individuals are also seeking for therapy that feels more engaging, collaborative, and curates an environment for deeper healing. So I provide a distinctive approach to therapy where I view it as a dynamic and ongoing conversation where we explore old patterns, use concrete tools, and share feedback.
This is not a space for only talking and listening - this is a space for healing work and personal evolution. This is not your mother's therapy.
Therapy is a personal experience for every individual which means the approach of a therapist may change based on your specific goals and needs. We can be life coaches, teachers, mentors, confidants, or teammates! When it comes to therapy, I follow your lead. I may be an expert in my field, but you are the expert in your life! I'll meet you where you're at and tailor my services specifically to you to provide the guidance and interventions you're looking for.
Many people seek out therapy when they are in an emotional crisis, have experienced a traumatic event, or are dealing with significant life stress. But I also advocate for therapy as a supportive supplement to our day to day lives as well! People can engage in therapy services if they are going through a big life change like starting college, getting married, or beginning a new relationship. Therapy can also support others who are looking to improve their overall coping skills, work through challenges with self esteem, enhance their romantic relationships, you name it! Regardless of the circumstances, therapy can assist others in transitioning from surviving to thriving.
Finding the right therapist is much like interviewing for a new job, but we're the applicant! You always want to work with someone who has good work experience, but what makes a person the right fit for the job is more than just their resume. Don't be afraid to ask your therapist about their experiences working in the field and areas of expertise. But also pay attention to a therapist's style and how you feel during your interactions with them! Take time to ask yourself, how do I want to feel when I talk to my therapist?
I currently only work with private pay clients through my business at a rate of $125 an hour. Number too steep? I also offer package deals that give you up to a $100 discount! Still not sure? Then take advantage of that free 15 minute consultation call to discuss your options, whether that be a sliding scale fee or recommendations for other great therapist!
I only provide telehealth services through an easy-to-use and HIPPA compliant platform at this time. If you're on the fence about engaging in therapy over a telehealth platform, feel free to use the free 15 minute consultation call to ask questions or discuss your concerns to see if telehealth is right for you.
I'm happy to discuss rescheduling when possible if you're not able to make your appointment! Otherwise, I would need a 24 hour notice of the cancellation or there will be a $50 cancellation fee. Exceptions can be made for emergencies.
